Special Program for youths in Vavuniya

We organized a special musical program for youths in Vavuniya on 11.02.2012. By God’s grace this program went very well. Nearly 300 young people including some adults gathered there for this program. We had invited Pastor. Dilan and his team to conduct this program. This program brought God’s blessings to those who attended.

Christmas gifts for children 2012

Some students from long distances were unable to come to the Christmas Program we organized on 18th of December 2011 . One of the newly established Lutheran congregation is in Norwood which is about 60km from where our office is located. Evangelist Sebastian who has been serving this congregation requested us to come to his congregation and distribute these gift packs to the students who are in his area. Our staff went to this place on 6th of this month to distribute these gift items to the children who were unable to attend the program we organized in Nuwara Eliya.The gift items distributed here were sponsored by the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Zion Lutheran Church in the States. Evangelist Sebastian had organized a small program for this and our staff shared the love of God and introduced our bible correspondence courses to the children. The children also received children bibles which were donated by our LHM donors in the states. We would like to thank every donor for helping us to bring hope in the lives of the people in our country. Evangelist Sebastian and his members thanked our organization for this help for their children.

Christmas Program for Tea Plantation Children 2011

A special Christmas Program was organized by Lutheran Hour Ministries in Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Lanka Lutheran Church on the 18th of December 2011 at Nuwara Eliya Town Hall. By God ‘s grace this program was held this year for the fifth time by the generous financial support we received from Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Mouline and Zion Lutheran Church, Marryland, USA. We distributed gift packs to more than 500 children who live in under poverty. It was a great joy for all of us to share the love of God with the people who were gathered for this event. Our very special thanks to Rev. Dr. Karsten, for assisting us in many ways to organize this program for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ

Children’s Bible Distribution

We visited Rev. Rajah Fernando’s Church in Gampaha on the 10th of December 2011 to distribute bibles to Children in his congregation. About 30 children received the bibles and they were very happy. Rev. Rajah Fernando thanked our organization. He had organised a small program for us. It was our pleasure to share the love of God with the children and adults who were gathered their for this occasion. This is a Lutheran congregation located near Colombo. We thank God for this opportunity.
